WHY NOT POLITICS, PRIYANKA?

Elections are around the corner. Campaigns are in full swing. politicians are covering the length and bredth of the country promising everything to the voters except the moon and the stars (thankfully!!!!!).

Manifestos are out.

Mud slinging game are in full force. Parties are pitching in their best candidates to woo the voters, feiry speeches and best orators are the order of the day.

And as usual when the Congress is campaigning can Priyanka Gandhi be far behind?? Now she is easily one of their best campaigners, and to think that she does not harbour any potential political ambitions is but a difficult pill to swallow.

Everytime she is campaigning there is such a buzz around her. Journalists keep asking her the same questions and she answers them in her usual inimitable style with a laugh and a wave of her hand that she will remain a long time campaigner only.

Now why on earth she does not want to join politics is best known to her only!!!!! But I want to ask her why not babes???? You have everything going for you. The name, the pedigree, the looks everything.

I mean she is n times better than her brother. Its not that I have an aversion to Rahul Gandhi, but somehow that man lacks the charisma to be a leader. He just does not possess that leadership quality. There is something missing in him which no doubt Priyanka possesses. There is a "noor" on her face. When she speaks you want to listen to her, when she enters somewhere you want to look at her.

An amazing looker, tall, charismatic with a certain x quality in her makes her a more endearing and viable candidate than her sibling. She connects to people in a better way than Rahul, she is a better orator than him, her command over the language is also better, and somehow I feel she should be the heir apparent. But then she does not want this and clearly endorses her brother as the future pm.

But why why Priyanka are you not interested in joining active politics. Why do you just want to remain a long life campaigner when you can be much more???? I would love to see you represent India globally. I would love to see you standing next to Barack Obama. It would truly be the meeting of equals in all respects. I want India to be led by young energetic, charismatic leaders like you who have it in them (hopefully!!!!) to bring a change we all are fighting and looking for. I want to see you as someone who will set an example for the future generation to come.
I want to see you, PRIYANKA GANDHI, as the Prime minister of India.

I agree except the last line....as per my thinking why can't a non political youngie climbes over these politician's sons. Indian politics is going worse than Bollywood...either be a kid pf politician to get elect, or a filmstar or finally a great man with the charges of 5 or 7 murders.

Of course we need youngesters there as the avrage age in parliament is held 52 < 53 for the last time and even Priyanka as a great leader, but please someone new for the hot seat. not Jyotiraditya Scindia, Rahul, Priyanka or Sachin Piolet who took birth in an AC hospital and all know that they will die too in an AC hospital. Finally a normal Indian for the India Poise.

And going by that, I want to see Priyanka Chopra standing next to Obama! She even knows the answers to the Miss India contests!

i am what i am said...

@rakesh: well rakesh you might not find any difference between the two priyankas but i would say they are poles apart and there is nothing common between them except their first names which is quite incidental. and i'm sure priyanka chopra can stand next to obama even is she did no know the answrs to the miss india contest. such is life dearies!!!!!!

I have to agree with Renu, looks seem to be playing a large role in perception..

And I agree with Sagar, we really need people from a non-political background to join politics - where true worth is proven not pre-decided based on whose son/daughter you are...

Gunmeen, dear, Priyanka may or may not be a good politician... and a good leader...

wishful thinking at this stage...

and we dont want any reluctant leaders do we ??

unless she decides, herself... leave her...

I am sure a lot of people do think of her as a future PM...

but get out of the dynasty politics mood... if she does something good we shall appreciate and than invite her into politics...

let her campaign for the time being !!!

and hey i like her tooo !!! lol...

Priyanka has everything, but how can that be good enough for her to become the Prime Minister of India. India is THE most diverse and complex nation in this world and you cannot have a novice PM - you have to reconcile many political views, even more so in the context of the present, with coalition politics to the hilt - gone are the days of Nehru and Indira Gandhi, when one party ruled. One needs more than just all the qualities that you mentioned. Manmohan has survived because his so called integrity factor was considered very high, and Sonia was right behind him - other wise, I believe this political novice was also doomed.

The PM has to be a respected leader, and Priyanka is babalog as yet - yes, she is definitely better than Rahul..agree with you on that account.

Gunmeen, I don't know about future PM. In all probability she may become one because of our dynasty politics but she sure has the charisma of Indira Gandhi and just for that I would like to see more of her. To know what she can deliver.

Actually nepotism is creeping up everywhere in every party not just Congress.
