You are the stuff of stars.
A corney come-on line?
Yes. But its also a scientific fact.
Look at your hand, you'll see skin, hair, maybe a couple of nails.
If you could see closer, you'd find a mix of molecules, made up of oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon. Do you know where these base elements come from?
Scientists have hypothesized that the entire periodic chart, every base element of the universe, was actually the byproduct of a star going nova.
You, me, all of us, we were a part of a star.
We weren't at the corona, not the part one could've seen, we were all deep within a star-once. Perhaps once we provided light to warm a planet.
Perhaps across some great distance, two creatures look at us, looked at each other, and knew that they were in love.
We were a star.
We are a part of the universe, we always will be.
We are all part of this universe.
This realization, this understanding, should both daunt and awe you.
Awe, in your importance, and then daunt, in the weight it requires in dealing with others.
For they were a part of that star with us.
They are just as unique, just as important as we are.
They may be confused by this, they may forget this.
They may not treat others with the kindness, and importance which this demands others be treated.
But they were still part of that same star that we were, once.

Interesting !
yay yay I am a star !! lol
So I am a star!
Thank YOu :-)
I've been interested in universe and used to see programs based on it.
Initially we had only very few elements, near about 20, which undergone changes with change in temperature and time to form other elements.
Science is a very beautiful way to describe mankind. Quantum Mechanics is sometimes referred to as the theory that could lead to BRAIN OF GOD.
In words of scientists, we are not any part of universe, but an important constituent of universe. Universe is incomplete without us and vice versa. We are the universe. Its said that we are made of starts because actually our constituent elements are formed as by product of stars.
i read this post while hearing a beautiful bollywood song...and guess what, it appeared strangely romantic to me..don't know whether you intended it to be romantic, scientific, or philosophical..but i found it beautiful !
@hitch writer: yeah yeah we all are!!!!!!!!
@roushan: you are welcome
@R.K.: yeah i just used the same info to apply it i our relationship with people.
@saurabh: i'm glad it touched you somewhere. i did not intend it to be beautiful, but now that you have mentioned it. seems beautiful to me also. thanks for visiting.
how bout being a human first?.....
"But they were still part of that same star that we were, once." Yes, you are so right. The old Indian saying, "Vasudeva Kutumbam" means the same. Once I was reading a spiritual book and it said that this universe is nothing but energy. I could not understand what it meant and then I read some where else that all matter, whether living or non living, is made up of molecules, which are made up of different combinations of atoms, which in turn comprise of neutrons, electrons and protons OR in effect everything in this universe, whether living or non living is ENERGY...it can neither be destroyed nor created but can change from one form to the other. Maybe our spiritual books are way ahead of science...but then they donot explain.....they probably want you to experience it yourself...We are all looking for answers to life's puzzles.
We all are a byproduct of a star going nova! LOVED that :) Yeah, though scientific, its a interesting fact. And I like the way you interwoven science with greater understandings of life. Beautiful!
***** for this post ..... A great way of making us reach for these *****'s
Hmm.. Now I am 'Rock'Star
@avinash: true, i agree. but then thats how science explains this.
@jp joshi: thank you sir. and what you have said is absolutely right.all of us are fighting the same battle, to be happy in life and spirituality does have some answrs to give us in this conqurest of ours.
@rahul: thanks
@chirag: you bet you are.
